I had mine painted along with 4 other things. It should be less than $100 to have them painted by a body shop which is better than the link I just posted. Plus if you get them done by a body shop, you can have the window sail painted body color also (I did).

I do suggest picking up any parts you want painted at the same time because then you only have to pay for the paint once, you just tack on a little more labor.

Example: I had 6 things painted (chin spoiler, 2 side scoops, 2 mirrors, and radiator cover). The bill came to $70 for paint and $160 for labor. When I was asking him about parts separately, I was over $400 in paint and time. Since I didn't have to buy paint all the separate times, it came way down.

How do those mirror covers look from the driver's seat? Since they're installed with tape are there any ugly gaps or anything?

I haven't seen them in person, just had a link from when I was looking. I'd assume it'd make the outer housing a little "thicker" but I don't think it'd look bad. Something you'd probably never notice.

These website is a custom shop in Fort Worth Texas; they will ship prepainted mirrors to you for $150.00. They paint almost any parts you might need and do some really great work on the new body style Mustangs.

Heres what I did. Bought to new mirrors from this place on Ebay. They are exact replacements. Power and all. Sanded them down smooth while watching TV one eve. Didn't take long. Then I did the primer, color, and clear thing. Once the mirrors were done, I simply swapped them out. It takes about 3 minutes to swap out the mirrors. I had no down time for my ride and I still have the OEM mirrors to boot. BTW, the car looks so much better with the mirros painted. Why Ford opts to paint the Fusion mirros and not the Mustang's is beyond me.

Did youremove the mirror glass and paint behind it too? Or did you just mask off the glass and paint whatever you can around the glass?

You have to remove the mirrors because you can not get enough paint inside if you don't.

I went down to the garage to snap some pictures for you guys of the full covers I got from hubcapsplus.com. Not the greatest pictures in the world because I was too lazy to run back upstairs for my keys to roll down the windows[8D]

From the driver's seat

and on the car
