i remeber a few years ago i saw a new edge with a clear hood. looked amazing. do they sell one the the s197?

 

I am not sure but man you would have to spend some money to make the engine compartment nice enough to have a clear hood.

 

you wouldnt need to spend alot of money. just some time. painting valve cover. throttle body, maby the fuse panel cover.

 

that would be so ricey its not even funny, also it would suck because you'd spend a fortune on rain x keeping that **** clean

the new ZR1 has a lexan window on its hood... do you call that rice?

 

i think a window is different from a whole hood being clear. Besides that, i think it would look tacky.

 

it might look good but only if
you painted the VCs
got nice caps for everything
got steel braid or nylon brade hoses
go look at the engine compartment thread to see how nice it would need to be

and seeing a nice v8 is not rive if you saw an ugly I-4 that would be rice

 

Yes I would still call that rice, even on a Vette. If I had that car, that part would come off and get painted, or I would swap hoods with someone else.

To each his own, but yeah I call that rice.
