i just got back from the track and came into a weird problem. as i was burning out (with traction control off), i was wheel hopping bad. it was so bad i had to let off. then my odometer thing said "check traction control" and my ABS light came on. i tried pushing the traction comtrol button button, but it just stayed off, and reloaded my tune, stil i couldn't turn it on.......anyway, on my next run i did a burn out again with bad wheel hop and it turned itself off and the ABS light went away. i was confused. any suggestions? i'm thinking somethings loose.

 

I would guess you damaged the wheel speed sensor or wire to it in one of the back wheels, you could have also cracked the exciter ring on the back axle,( not very likely but I've seen it before but it was on a front wheel drive. Anyhow the ABS anf traction control get info from the wheel speed sensor and all the stuff was hopping when your axle was hopping. Get some LCA's to help with the hop.

 

same thing happened to me once when i was doing some doughnuts,abs light came on,it turned off a few minutes later and i have not seen it since.this was a few months ago.

 

What kinda tires? Dont burn out unless your on DR's or slicks and in that case use water and it shouldnt wheelhop. From your sig your on street tires so you should just be cleaning them off for a second or 2 before a run. Besides wheelhop is embarrasing! -Jon
