Is it possible for a stock 05 mustang GT to do a burnout for 5mins without anything going wrong other than killing the tires?

going to be replacing my tires soon but i want to get a decent burnout video before i slap the new ones on. Just wondering if i do hang on it for a while either until the tires go ori think ive had enough, is there anything i need to look out for while doing a burnout for such an extended period of time...

yes, and I highly recommend you keep it redlined for the entire 5 minutes.
Should make your engine run better too!

You'll probably flat spot the front tires holdoing it that long, as the car will still move a little. So plan on buying 4 new tires. Oh, and rear brake pads and rotors as well (seeing you are doing a brake stand). I'm thinking the rotors will get so hot they too will need replacing as they will be warped, heat spotted or both. Personally, I wouldn't do it! []

One last thing... You may damage a wheel or worst the rear fender well and body when the tire blows out!!

I wouldn't advise it unless you have the money to fix what you break! Because there is a good chance you'll break something as was mentioned previously.

Speaking of burnouts.....i live in a rural area in Northern Wisc. The other day I was on a back road.........couple thousand feet of straight road then a nice curve. I turned off my TCS and just for the hell of it nailed it......SuperCharged.....1st & 2nd gear smoked em up BIG TIME. Let off the gas getting close to the curve...........county sheriff came around the curve!!!!!!!! just kept going lmao all the way home
