I had some of those expensive triple blade things and they sucked. They were pretty much the most expensive blades they (Wal-mart) had and were WORSE than stock by far.

I recently put some "el cheapo" Pylons from Wal-mart and they're great. Just as good as stock which worked very well. I'll be going back with Pylon for sure.

All that marketing hype on some about their super duper rubber that lasts a billionty times longer than other blades is just bollocks.

+1 to craezjo. I replaced my stock wipers with the Bosch Icons, and yes they suck. The ripped stock wipers didn't streak as much or lift at 80 mph. Replaced the Bosch with RainX and all is well.

I find the Pylon blades that WalMart sells to be decent for the price. I have little doubt that you'd pay 3 times as much at the dealership for their blades. However, it makes a big difference if your car sits in the sun AND at whattemperature. Heat and UV light will age rubber fast. During the summer in the north, my blades don't last more than about 3 months before they degrade to a point that they need replacing. I've had my Stang for about 10 months, garage kept, and the stock blades are fine.

Sorry, I strongly disagree about the Bosch Icons - I have used them for years and they are great. I have talked to several others that bought Icons and they all love them too. Just my $.02 worth.

It's wiper blades, who gives a crap where it comes from. It's not like walmart had bums make them out behind the store.

More than about $5 per blade is a waste of money. I've tried MANY different kinds thinking the more expensive ones would wipe better and last longer due to the "special rubber." NOPE! It's just marketing that takes advantage of people who see a fancy label and a high price that automatically think it's superior stuff. Sometimes, yes, the cheaper things are crappier (tools are a good example). But most of the time that's not the case.

I've got the Bosch Icons as well and I love them. I have always bought Bosch and they hold up quite well.

If you take an alcohol wipe and clean off the blade every once and a while it will last even longer.
