Default Cervinis quarter scoops installation

Hi All,
Just picked up my 08 Mustang a couple of weeks ago. My first mod is installing the Cervini quarter Window Scoopps (#4305) looks like Eleanor window scoops. They arrived yesterday, going to drop them off at the painter this week and hope to install this/next weekend. Any advice on installation?

Dave

3m body tape, its a pain to get them to fit just right and cover the whole window

I dont know the temperature where your at but its best to do it on a hot day and sometimes on the side they dont stay stuck to the window

Edit: its like it isnt meshed well with the curvature of the car

Edit: Btw how much did you pay for yours? got mine $150 for both and was already torch red[8D][8D][8D]

Wait till at least a 70* sunny day... Or heat the surface in a heated garage.
They say not to drive it for 24hours, I waited 3.
They also said not to get it wet for 24 hours, I could only wait 3 cause it started to rain out of no where...
When applying the tape make sure you have the scoop resting upside down on something super super soft.

Just take your time and be PATIENT...

1) Clean the area with some RUBBING ALCHOL, do it like 3-4 times!!! Very important.

2) Tape up the back side of the scoops with the 3m body tape. But don't remove the side since you aren't ready to stick it yet...

3) Tape off the area where the scoop will go so that you will be able to draw an outline of the scoop.

4) Place the scoop where it is good and make sure the angle of the front of the scoop is the same as the window... That will make more sense when you see it.

5) While holding the scoop in place either you or someone else trace the scoop where it needs to be. (If alone just tape the scoop in place with masking tape so that you can trace it yourself.)

6) Now practice a couple times with the execution of putting in the exact spot it needs to be in. Sounds strange but will pay off, there isn't enough surface on the scoop to allow you to roll it into place. So once you get close to the window it will most likely already be touching the tape which will immediatly stick if you aren't careful. I started with the bottom front corner and made sure it was in the line that I had traced. I then slowly moved to the back and then went up. If you are a little short on the top you are able to bend the scoop a little bit to make it a little taller.

7) After you got down you technique remove the backing of the tape and slowly apply the scoop in the same manner. One in place. Press the Hell out of it to make sure it's secure.

8) Move to the next side.

hey dude the window scoops stick pretty well but I had cervinis side scoops that tore off after not waiting long enough to drive it. (hence why I have xenon side scoops and cervinis windows now lol) so put em on and wait the full day if you can it cant hurt and definatly might help
