Default H2 Damage Update

Ladies and gentlemen...

So my baby is in the shop right now getting $600 dollars worth of suspension components repaired/replaced, and I'm starting to think ahead - which is where I need your help!

I have included acouple pics: the old and new fenders, and one of me holding the old fender cursing violently right after the picture was taken! Anyways, my Cervinis body kit came with the stripe kit when I purchased the Stang, and as you can see in the pictures, now I'm stuck with a dilemma - do I replace the striping and verbage on the fender or not?

First and foremost, does anyone know exactly what color the Cervinis stripe kit is? It looks charcoal grey with sparkles (I'm straight I swear) to me. Second, instead ofreplacing the existing verbage (which is now incorrect because I've been Dyno'd at well over 500hp) I was thinking of just having one continuous stripe down the center, with the two smaller stripes on top and bottom...which would match what's on the door. The question I have for y'all is do you know where I can get similar striping so that I'm not mismatched?

Lastly, if for some reason I can't finda replacement of some kind, are there any suggestions on how to remove the striping on the door that is existing?

Thanks for your help in advance people! Before I know it she'll be as good as new - smoking Vette's like Swisher Sweets!!!

Make sure you read the thread called "Really bad striping experience" before removing any striping!

I have browsed the "Baltimore" web site, and will probably end up ordering what I need from them in the near future. Has anyone ever used someone else...perhaps a local auto store, or graphics shop?

"Cash" has never been a nickname of mine, I'm sorry to say Kara...what school did you go to?

Its charcoal gray metallic (not sparkles-lol) and call Cervinis and see what colors they offer and compare that to yours and get replacements if you choose to keep them!

Baltimore street mods can be very helpful with any of the vinyls mentioned and you can send a piece to them so they can match the color perfectly! (even a custom number)

You CAN remove the striping! Its very easy and it will look mean and cleaner with more of a sleeper look[&:] (is that possible with the Cervinis kit?) Its real easy- get a hairdryer and with some patience start at the corner and work your way heating the tape as you pull slowly and straight back (not up not down but exactly in the opposite direction from where you started- if needed some adhesive remove [oily kind-not goo gone] if you are unsure but the tape and residue should come off easily....dont be afraid!) Once done go over with alcohol and start the waxing process and your done!

Thanks MyGT500!!!

I'll grab the girlfriend's hairdryer and try it first on the old fender. If it comes off clean, then I'll most likely remove everything on the sides of the Stang.

Can you recommend any particular adhesive remover? I will obviously not use Goo Gone, but have you ever used one that you like?

Thanks again!
