Default speedometer not working

i thought i would get some advice before going to ford. my speedo quit working while i was driving down the highway. it just went to 0 and hasn't moved since.i also noticed the tach is not accurate. it works, but seems to move "sluggishly". dtc p0720 and p0722. i tried replacing the output speed sensor, no luck. i'm not against going to the dealership, just reluctant.
any help would be appreciated.

Speedometer
The instrument cluster (IC) receives the vehicle speed information from the PCM over the communication network and displays it on the speedometer gauge. If the instrument cluster (IC) receives no vehicle speed signal after 1 second, the speedometer defaults to 0.
Pinpoint Test G: The Speedometer/Odometer Is Inoperative
Vehicle speed information is sent to the powertrain control module (PCM) from the output shaft speed (OSS) sensor. The instrument cluster (IC) receives the vehicle speed data from the PCM over the communication network.
Possible Causes[*]PCM[*]Instrument cluster (IC)[/ul]
take it to the dealer.

mine was replaced under warranty. I a course have the CAI/tune that some many fear about. It was covered and it cost Ford about 600 dollars without that silly one dollar fee.

Don't get it fixed. Your car has x amount of miles for the rest of its life, until you have to sell

Take your car out of park/neutral and drive it!

Get a MSD DashHawk and read the speed parameter
to see if the PCM is sending the signal oner the high
speed can buss. Then you can see whats bad. Might
just be a bad speed sensor.

happens to my car - mainly when it's cold out, but the first time it was about 40....none of the gauges really work, the tack kinda hops around, the speedo will stay at zero or say 100 whe i'd be goin 25...then it would go to say 75 when shut off, so you'd have to turn it over a click until it would go down to zero...then start it up and it'd work....i wanna take mine in, but i'm on extended warranty, so whenever i decide to throw a hudnred bux down on it, i'll do it...pry not til it starts getting cold in 8 months though
