Default Tuning Help?!?

Ok so I don't know much about tuners, so basically my question is after you get the tuner. Can you tune the car yourself or does it have to be taken to a shop. Because i'd rather not pay the 500 they want to charge me for a Custom Tune. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sry for my ignorance.

You can buy the dealer software or the Pro Racer Package from SCT...but i do NOT recommend you tuning your own car with no experience. These tuners spend a lot of time on learning this software.

Take it to a tuner and pay the $500

You can get a s/c, turbo, or CAI that comes with a generic tune but if you want more HP and something custom for your car it will cost you more

well I was looking on American Muscleand the SCT Mustang Livewire Tuner says it comes with custom tunes that are made for your vehicle after you enter all your information. Would that work? or will i still need to take it in?

Go to brenspeed, bamachips, or vmp and get a CAI/Tune package. You'll get a CAI, the tuner, and 3 custom tunes for you car.
