I recently installed a Auto Meter A/F Ratio Gauge.......it bounces all over the full spectrum of the gauge. Sometimes a steady lean or rich but not for long. rarely a stoich reading. Is this normal??
anyone in Wisconsin out there? i want to get my Stang dynoed but live near Eagle River. Milwaukee 230mi away.

how far is rogers,mn from you? burnsville, mn has one too but i wouldnt recommend it.. theres plenty in the twin cities if you are anywhere near them

 

the a/f is only going to be acurate at WOT....it will bounce around otherwise

 

easier to ask here...........What the heck is WOT??

i have a narrow band a/f ratio too and honestly.. its alllllways reading lean.. unless i really go wide open, then it will go into the rich area.. but mine doesnt move like crazy like all the videos i see of the other A/F's.. specially the ones that are just lights, mine is a sweep

 

Thanks siberian.......2nd time today we ran into each other. OK At WOT I should be in the rich area just in the rich area , right??
Otherwise a gauge problem??

 

Rich or Stoich at WOT....but IMO get a wide band A/F ratio gauge as they are much more accurate.....JMO J
