Ok DoctorQ, i read your write up. I am really on the fence with the boom tubes. you seem to know what you are talking about so I have some pointed questions. 1 can I carry on a convo with someone in the car or talk on my cell with the boom tubes? 2. will they have my neighbors calling the cops on me when I start the car in the morning?

as long as you're running stock cats, you're ok. great sound, not overbearing. it's loud enough to please you, not so loud that you're neighbors will be pissed.....

Ninosport still has them in stock but they don't have to many left. I called yesterday and got a set on order. I'll have brenspeed refund me on the ones they sent since they were thrashed. If they come in on Saturday I might install them then. I'll try and do a before/after set of vids.

So how is the sound inside the car. Will you be able to talk to the person in the passanger seat with out yelling?

I haven't done any dB testing, but yes the Boomtubes are louder than stock mufflers...and are louder than Flowmaster ATs. Now, having said that, IMO, they are NOT obnoxiously or excessively loud. If you run these at WOT in your neighborhood, that might be another story. If your setup is all stock and you're just swapping axle-backs, I can assure you they won't be too loud for conversations or overpower the stereo at cruising RPMs. Now, if you're going uphill (slight engine load), or have the throttle jammed, yes they may competewith conversations or the stereo... but IMO, that's a small percentage of the time. As for startup, it's a tad louder than stock mufflers as well... but within 30 seconds, idle returns to normal. No drone with the Boomtubes either. As for your neighbors calling the cops, can't help you there...... you'll have to ask them. My neighbors are cool.

I was kind of hoping for a louder cabin at cruising speeds with these. No increase at all?
