Default hurst install

I've had my hurst shifter sitting on my shelf since about November. It has finally warmed up and stopped raining so I threw it in today. It took me a bit, but it was my first time completely under my car and my first time installing a shifter. Getting it to fit through the hole was a bitch but eventually I figured it out. It is so much better than stock. I had a great (and a little frustrating time) but did get my girlfriend to help me maneouver the shifter, and it was great to get doing something with the stang too Anyways, no real point except that if I can figure it out and not break anything, then anybody can do this install and save $50-$70 like I did.

Glad to see you didn't have any problems. My Hurst shifter was my first mod also.

I ordered mine last night along with a CAI and tuner.....got the car 3 weeks ago now and have been chomping at the bit to get going on it....but gotta tread lightly around the "Hammer" (my wife) as I don t want to go too far overboard with bying a new car and then going hog wild on parts.

I just used my ramps, socket set, and had my leatherman near by for any other accessories. make sure you have a 10mm deep socket, that was the only thing I was missing and had to run out and pick one up. I also picked up a 10mm ratchet wrench to give my knuckles a rest. I went ride around last night, and I love the way the shifts are solid and secure.
