The only thing my cupholder holds is my cell phone.

I don't let people drink in my car. If I did there would be soda everywhere. Plus, how do you shift when you have a cup sticking out right there?

Same here, I put my wallet and my cell phone in there. I can't shift with drinks in there.

I cant shift properly when cups are there, but now with this new discovery, i can see it would be easier because its deeper. Awesomeness.

I was cleaning out my cupholders and guess what......
You will never guess in a million years.......
I bet no one on this forum knows about this.......
There is a spacer/blockoff cover on the rear
cupholder in the center console. There is nothing
about this in the owners manual. I am planting
my Mt. Everest flag for finding this first.

i have black MOLD under my cup holder
This happens from the moisture from cold drinks
collecting under the cup holder block-off plate.
Its a known problem. Easy fix is to not drink cold
liquids on humid days in your precious Stang. []

The rear cup holder is a perfect fit for a Venti Starbucks with the insert removed.

I use the front for my cell phone.

Yuppy much?
Yuppy (Wikipedia): "young upwardly-mobile professional" refers to a market segment whose consumers are characterized as self-reliant, financially secure individualists. Since the late 1980s, the phrase "affluent professionals" has been used as a synonym, stripped of negative associations with the once-homogenous market.

...and proud of it!
