Default yet another newbie question???

ok guys one more so my 06 v6 pony package returned from the shop yesterday and it is still not reving over 4000 rpms when it is sitting still and you step on the gas to rev it up. when i am in motion it goes all the way to red line no problem. the shop said they had it on the computer and didnt see anything wrong with it. Is this normal? if not what could be causing it? thanks again for your help

it's the rev limiter. when it hits 4k, does the rpm needle go back and forth around 4k like you're revving it?

To get a good launch anyways you dont want to rev higher than 4k
it will just smoke your tires all day
its not good to rev out your motor
get a tuner that will fix things it will fix the revlimiter, speed limiter and u can do other things
