Default SCT scanner question

Hey everyone.

A guy i know at the track just got a SCT tuner for his 96ish supercharged gt. He all ready doesnt like it and is looking into getting ride of it. which means i might buy it from him however, i have a few question.

1.) the scanner all ready has custom tune for his 96 sc gt, so what can i do to make it work w/ my 06 GT?

2.) Should i look into email tune maybe?

3.) I'll be buying a intake in the near future but does a tune work w/ out a intake?

My gt only has frpp xpipe and a cat back. Otherwise everything else is stock.

You'll need new tunes for your car. Even if he had an 06 GT you would still need new tunes. They are PCM code specific.

Definitely - I recommend Bamachips.

3.) I'll be buying a intake in the near future but does a tune work w/ out a intake?
Based upon my research I think you would see a significant difference with just the tune. I have not found anyone to substantiate that claim but I think that's because the tuners all also sell intakes. Still - I bought a used CAI before I purchased tunes.
