If you're going to race it (drag race) the auto is better. Had I known I was going to race my car every weekend, I would have gotten an Auto.

OK stick guys, don't kill me here. The auto is better for consistency which is what bracket drag racing is all about.

Here we go again......................

It's pretty simple, If the Mustang only came as a manual then they would sell less units. There is something for everyone and they all look good to me when i see a few lined up together. Drive what you like. I'll never buy an auto and hate driving my wife's car as it's an auto; but that's my personal preference.

The stick has got to be funner to drive, except in heavy traffic.....with lights......
both transmissions are good and can be modded. Depends on your use and what you want. Driving an auto at a dealership is not anything like driving one that has been re-tuned or has a stall convertor just like the stick guys will tell you after they change cluthes and go with a short throw shifter. The 55 auto is pretty good auto but it does have some weekness when pushing a lotta of horsepower. Same as the stick its gotta get beefed up. If you dont like shifting the auto is a way to go.... but if you wanna feel or play the stick would be better.
like Clint says "a mans gotta know his limitations."
hey these are just my opinions ! figure out where you want to end up the autos are the preffered race (straight line) but they dont seem to stay with the standard (55) auto they go to like a 4r70 with manual valve body

Enjoy whatever you choose I liked both of mine

Yeah, laugh at my sexual innuendo.

So how does stick and auto compaire for the 05+ GTs? Speed wise.

I just feel like it's a SPORTS car. Why buy it in auto? But I keep thinking how good the acceleration would be and all the greatness an auto can ofer.

Anyone want to throw down some insite?

(It's 12:00 so just go with me. Im super tired)
How does it go up?

Sheer will...
If not, there's Viagra.

I drove a GT-H for a week in Cali, it was auto. Driving that car made me buy my car.

My car is a stick.

Ultimately the speed difference is a moot point in this car. (I know it can be a 1+s difference in 1/4 for some cars)

Just go with your preference (auto or stick) if you were to choose in a vacuum.

That being said to add a point for the auto arguement most people mod their Mustangs for strip performance. If your pushing 800rwhp an auto is a must for the best times. Most people in the sports car scene associate sticks with being faster, most sports cars don't have the potential for easy power like ours though.

I personally prefer a manual but auto's are alright too. Some people prefer autos. SOME people prefer black over white. Hope this doesnt turn into a huge arguement!
