Default pulling dash pad................

the top of the dash pad is rubbing against the windshield on my wifes 06 and the ford techs "can't hear it". so, what is involved in pulling the top dash pad? it looks like there is a trim panel that runs along the edge at the windshield that may pop out. i'm hoping the dash pad comes out easy.

Is it squeeking against the glass? If so, instead of pulling the dash, get a spray can of CRC Silicon and spray the area where they come together. Then clean any residue that gets on the glass with acetone or laquer thinner on a clean towel (don't get it on the dash pad). That has cured similar squeeks in th epast for me.

i got the a-pillar off and it still looks like the top dash pad can come off. i popped the right side air vent out halfway, but it still stuck at the air bag portion, i don't want to pull any harder if it's screwed in there. any better diagrams or info than that link???

That link is straight from the Ford Workshop manual.
If there is a better view or more detailed instructions,
they will be forund on that site.
Look over the entire site for a better view or instructions.
