Finding a frequency on the radio
I'm trying to find a frequency on the radio for my iPod aftermarket , but it only does a Radio search finding only the regular stations. How do I do it manually?
is that an FM modulator thing?
If you live out of the city you should be able to find several freqs that are free. You need to pick one that has both its neighbors vacant. Like you can use 95.5 if 95.3 and 95.7 are also quiet.
Use the up or down arrows, the ones that you use to switch from CD to CD to select each channel without scanning.

iPod device and its overloading the AUX input. Read
the owners manual about proper use of the AUX input
for distortion free sound. The AUX jack is 100% better
sounding than a FM modulator will ever be. The standards
for FM radio (40-16,000Hz 40 dB channel seperation)are
squashed in comparison to the 20-20,000Hz range
100+ dB channel seperation of the AUX jack. TURN THE
IPOD DOWN, AND TURN THE SKIPPER UP.
Frequence changing without searching is shown in the users manual.

Now how do I get the fuel door open again.....
It's not really because of the volume being too high, cause I don't like to blast music like that. what I meant from the distortion is that the aux cable wears out, and I would have to keep adjusting it to get the iPod to sound right. that and the the lid being closed down on the cable contributes to it as well. and it gets in the way of the shifter lol. I just want a cable free solution which is why I went with the fm modulator. I must've bought like 4 aux cables in the last month alone from radio shack!
My belkin transmittor sounds like trash. Like stated above, sounds distorted, no bass to speak of and frequently have to look for new stations to run on while driving. Channel seems to float and pick up a distant radio station every now and then.
