Default HELP! Engine Code Errors

hey guys!

so here's the problem: over the course of the last week or so, i've been getting the malfunction symbol on the cluster - the good 'ole wrench. at first, since i drive a stick, i thought i had just stalled out, even though i'm experienced and never really stall. car restarted no problem, and i didn't think much more about it. i would say this happened maybe three times in total. tonight while driving home, however, the wrench popped up again, followed by a solid service engine symbol. now i'm worried. the stang itself wasn't driving strangely or anything. so, what do you recommend?

1. check the error codes with my xcal2?
2. bring it in for service?
3. re-install the stock airbox, set the tune to stock, and return to the dealer?

or anything else? any helpful ideas will be greatly appreciated!

thanks!

First I would check the codes and if you don't know what they mean post them up here, someone should speak up on their meanings. Once you know what they mean, and if they call for service, then I would decide on bringing it to the dealer as is or after returning it to stock first.

ok, looks like i'm answering all my own questions so far! haha! more internet research has yielded the following suggestion:

the P2135 code requires the dealer to replace the throttle position sensor.

does this sound right to anyone? and if i bring my car in, do i have to replace the stock airbox and reprogram to stock tune for this? can i expect that they'll try to update my ecu?

I would absolutly return it to the stock calibration. If there are error codes present the Ford dealer dianostic tool, along with reading the codes, will also check for any module updates. If the calibration does not match what it is expecting it will be reflashed. You will loose your aftermarket tune.
