what does this sound like???
ok, my car was running awesome being dyno'd at 326HP/340TQ to the wheels. Then I added HT1's and CMCV's and had it re-tuned. At that point, it started running much stronger but would fall into "limp mode" at WOT only in 1st and 2nd gear but not 3rd-5th. I took it back to my tuner and he re-did the tune.Since then, not running as strong as before but no fail safemode encounters. My tuner said the tune didnt possibly "take" all new corrections to my tune...
Well, due to Fun Ford Weekends and my Vegas trip, I wasnt gonna be able to get my car back to him to put it on the dyno till the first weekend of June. My car's gas mileage lowered from 24MPG to around 19.5MPG and felt like it was really lacking in power.
Yesterday, I decided to run seafoam through intake, crankcase, and fuel. I took the main manifold vacuum off while running and it immediately died. I decided to run it through the brake booster vacuum and it worked perfect. After 20 minutes of sitting, I started it back up and there was VERY minimal white smoke as compared to others.
However, after taking it for a test spin, it ran like a raped ape...great throttle response and actually spun tires through 1st and 2nd and chirped 3rd (like it had before)...and managed to get 23MPG this morning on the way to work.
Anybody ever experience anything like this with the CMCV's or do you think that I just had so much carbon build up that the seafoam corrected the problems my car was having? Why would my car limp in 1st and 2nd but not other gears???
The car has 66,000 miles on it

RE: what does this sound like???
yeah, threw a few different codes...one was for the O2 sensor and the other was a P2198 (I believe) and the other was Pxxxxb...cant remember the actual numbers. My tuner said they had something to do with the CMCV's and not being tuned correctly for them. He also said it may have something to do with the throttle body, but there once again...he wont be able to tell until we get it on the dyno...
just trying to get some insight into the situation and try to get an idea of what i am about to encounter...

My car makes a popping sound at slow speeds and feels like she drags after my delete plate install and retune. I just have bad luck with mods [:@]

UPDATE...
I just took my car on a 400 mile roundtrip...I ended up getting 23 miles to the gallon and now it runs twice as good as it did before the seafoam treatment and no more codes...i'm sold on the seafoam through the manifold gig...will most likely try to do about every 200 miles before oil changes from here on out

RE: what does this sound like???
lol, had them all listed but mods deleted my sig because it was 'too' big...
Steeda CAI with elbow
SCT 2 Programmer
underdrive pulleys
PB ignition
JBA L/T headers, O/R H-pipe, exhaust
CMCV
Autolite HT1's
3.73 gears
Hurst Shifter
Tokico D-specs
Eibach Pro Kit
Some BMR stuff
FR500's with BFG g force T/A's
dyno tuned by Pat at PSI Motorsports
my dyno sheet is on my pics at 315HP/333TQ and that was before the elbow, HT1's and CMCV...had it tuned since but no copy of the dyno. it has a slightly more conservative tune on to make sure it would allrun ok...probably gonna pick the timing back up a bit tosqueezesomemore out of it. hoping to get around 330/350 but we'll see
