Default Problem with intake/tuner!

somehow i dont think that my car is supossed to be acting this way... when i installed my JLTintake, i then put my SCT3tuner in my car and then started it up... Right away my rpm jumped up and down and acted all funny then smoothed out a little bit after 5 minutes. I drove down the highway and between 1,000 and 3,000 rpm it has absolutely no power. Which felt weird because the car stock has power anywhere and i can just stomp on it and it will jump quick. With the tuner it did not do that.. I stepped on it and it lagged a bit and then slowly started to climb and then once it got past 3 thou it started picking up fast.

This is an 05 Mustang GT.. and i am just wondering if this is normal or should i be taking it in to get it checked over?

I dont know what to expect.! Any help is appreciated

You installed the tune without installing the intake? Stop driving.

I'm not following your post. The air intake should be installed before the tune.

When you install the tune, you don't actually start the car, just put the key in the on position. Could be the tune was not loaded.

Try again. Plug the SCT under the dash and follow step by step from the handheld prompts.

I am guessing you bought the intake/tuner and then NO tune for the intake

Are you trying to use the canned SCT tune; or is it from someplace like Bamachips, Brenspeed, VMP, etc...
