There are a couple of errors in the article. They will take a 2005 up to any current year Mustang, including a Saleen, Roush, or Shelby Mustang and transform it into a Shadrach Mustang, using a wide array of options from which the customer can choose. Also, the 700+ horsepower rating is for the high output supercharged engine. The twin turbo charged engine tops out at close to 900 hp.
The original Shadrach program was going to offer a maximum of 70 Platt and Payne Signature Edition Mustangs. It was offered with a very limited number of options, and would be available only to a newly titled Mustang.
The Shadrach program has now been enhanced to offer a customer the capability to customize their 2005 or later Mustang with a wide array of style, power, and performance options.
The web site, <http://www.shadrachmustang.com> is going through some major updates, which will occur in phases over the next few weeks. It will outline all the options available to a customer, information on the companies that are part of the program, how to go about customizing and ordering the "Shadrach Enhancement Package", and additional information on the program.
The folks at Riverside Ford in Macon, Georgia, and Jacky Jones Ford in Cleveland, Georgia, have just signed up to offer the Shadrach Mustang treatment to their customers. Their customers will now have the capability to take their Mustang and transform it into an imposing new muscle car,to what can best be described as a street legal racing machine.
From my experience with it I would say it is not for the timid. What a beast!
