There's a guy on AFM (AllFordMustangs.com, handle "BLK281GT") that just went into production on a billet level for the back of the seats... very nice. Here's a link to one of his earlier posts showing his proto-types:

I was going to post a thread about this myself. It seems like every other piece of plastic that you can remove or cover on the inside or outside of the 'stang has an Aluminum or SS cover/replacement EXCEPT those darned levers. When I was looking to pick up my Mustang (used) one that I looked at was missing a lever, and the one I ended up buying, the lever broke the next day. I've been wanting to get metal replacements ever since. The one thing that replacing with metal actually makes sense, and no one makes them. Except this guy apparently.

Having just looked at the prototypes, I'm a little dissapointed. I'd kind of hoped to find ones in a similar design to stock. Anyone know of any like those?

well, neither post says which lever is broken!
There's one on the back, top of the seat. That one I know has been broken several times on members cars.
Then there's the one down on the side by your hip. I've never heard of that one braking but there are tons of covers for it.

$35 for a stock plastic replacement lever? Did you get the entire lever, or just the plastic handle? I mean, I know OEM parts are a little over-priced... but that seems far beyond excessive.
