I installed the Steeda CAI and SCT tune and all was well for 2 days then today the Engine light came on, I'm not sure exactly when it came on but I need to know how to turn it off, can I just disonnect the negative battery terminal or do I need to go to the dealer???

 

yea.. disconnect the batt for a few min and replace.. if the engin light comes on.. then look for a better tune on-line

OK I read on the SCT site to just disconnect the battery and the light will reset which it did, I'll pull the friggin bulb if it tries to come on again!! Hopefully it will stay off....

 

Its ok.. if it does come on again then the tune is most likey off just a tad. You just got this kits nto long ago right.. did you have it tuned? someone should be able to adjust it a little.. .. thats what they get paid the bg bucks for. dont let it get to you too much.. its just one of those little speed bumps to the way of happiness

 

Also re-flashing the computer with the same tune will erase all codes as well and not loose all your radio settings. Just a thought. Make sure you have the right tune for you car also ie. automatic tune or stick tune. I got the stick tune sent to me by accident and believe it or not the computer took it. After driving a short time it pulled a code and I tried re-flashing with the same tune and it would not take it. Lucky I had a non CAI tune saved in my box to get me home. They sent me the right tune and I have had no problems since.
