traction control....
Well all GTs come with traction control. It's located up by your hazard lights, just push it and it'll light up as off. It automatically goes on every time you start your car. Traction control detects wheel spin and will retard timing and apply the rear brakes. It's a good thing in say the rain or bad driving conditions etc. But if you want to race, etc than you should turn it off. Also if you get a tuner you can request that they modify the traction control. Justin at VMP Tuning modified mine so it only kicks on in extreme conditions.
I have an SCT XCAL2. Brenspeed did the tunes. I've heard the only way to modify it is to keep it shut off all the time. Once they turn it off in the tune it stays off by default and you can't turn it back on by pressing the button.

It can be modified however you like it. I've got it so it has to really be spinning very hard. For example with the stock tuning the TCS would kick in on a hard 1-2 shift 2-3 shift etc, now I don't get any of that.
It's all personal choice, you don't have to have it modified like that. I live in Florida so we see a lot of rain, no snow though, and I don't have a problem with it being like this. I just adjust my driving accordingly.
