when you title a thread "Got the new Hurst in today" we really expect to see photos of it installed!

Oh well, at least you had the courtesy of taking it out of the box it came in!

Now get it installed and take lots of photos of that procedure to makeup for the post!

The red thing is a polyurethane bushing and yes, the bolts appear to be stops for banging thru the gears ...

i have the same shifter but for a v6...and we didnt go on the batman ride since the line was 1.5 hours....and it looks small and stupid, something like skull mountain...i dont recommend going to six flags on saturday either...its going to be real crowded.

I loved the Hurst as my street shifter, and had one installed a couple years on my '05. There were problems during high rpm shifts so I replaced it recently with an MGW. But I kept the cool white ball as a reminder!

If you're doing the install yourself for the first time, give yourself an hour. I changed shifters back and forth pretty often and got the time down to 20 minutes once...

Take the bolts out, the tranny has stops itself so you dont need those.

Agreed, leaving them in could damage the transmission.
