Default Wacked a curb....

I know I'm dumb. It was raining and I went around a corner a little to fast and bam[:@][:@][:@]. Wasn't really even going fast. It is my right rear wheel that got hit. I already ordered a new rim that I'll have put on Tuesday. My question is besides the obvious damage to the rim, what other damage could there be. I didn't notice anything wierd or different on my ride of shame home. Thanks guys

Keep your ears open and have the tire guy look around.

Check the axle to see if you bent it. Listen for a bad axle bearing too.

get it to a shop and have it checked for everything in the rear end just to be safe. A few years back I slid my 79 Stang offafreeway exit ramp on ice and it jumped the curb. I was only going 20 or so but I ended up repairing a laundry list of things from that little mishap. I know my 07 is a hell of alot better then the 79 was but you never know.

Man, I brushed my rim up against a water drainage thing. I am pissed. But, you can't really tell. So, I feel ya.

When I bought my 06 GT with 18 inch polished fan blades each rim had curb rash and the car only had 4k miles. I took 800,1000 and 2000 grit sandpaper and wet sanded the area then polished with mothers aluminum rim polish. The rims look brand new and you have to look really really close to see where it was sanded. Only cost me 12$
