Mustang SS = WEAK
So, the Mustang Stock Speakers aren't what I thought. I thought they were 6 1/2 in the front and 6-9" in the back. But I come to find out they are 5"-7" front and back.
So far, I've seen crappy 5"-7" speakers compared to the 6"-9".
Anyone have any suggestions on good 5"-7" aftermarket speakers? I was thinking of getting these alpines that have awesome treble, but ****ty bass. The guy at the store said with 5 by 7"s, you'll get great treble but you need a sub/amp for the bass. So I was thinking of doing that.
Ned halp plz kthx.

Stock door and deck speakers are6x8's. Some 5x7's come w/ mounting brackets/tabs to fit 6x8 locations.

I ordered some Boston Acoutics S85's. I should have them in a couple of days. I am hoping for a better sounding stock system with these. They are spec'd at about the right power range for the stock HU and I am a fan of the sound of Bostons. We'll see in a few days.
