Default 05 GT X-PLAN

I'm military and ordered a Sonic Blue GT in January and have an X-plan pin from a friend. My build date was 11 April and the dealership called to let me know the car would be coming in. To make a long story short, they do not want to allow me to use my X-plan pin and stated that they weren't allowed to accept them. They are also crushing me on trade-04 F-150 STX. KBB @16,750 and they want to give me 14,500. So, you guessed it, negative equity + no X-plan = 4 months of waiting to have my hopes crushed [&o] so what can I do now? The dealership acts like they aren't interested now and I wonder if they will even call when my car arrives...

That more than sux. I wish that all military could get a significant discount on any new car they wanted. For all you do, this cars for you...kinda thing. Obviously, you dont want to do a trade. Sell it yourself for just above what they were going to give you, or do some research on a good private party selling price on your trade in through Kelly blue book. Two thoughts on the deal absent the trade in. One. Do you cut off your nose to spite your face and walk away from the deal or two, figure the car is worth MSRP anyway and buy it? It would definately be a hard pill to swallow buying the car at MSRP when they told you they would honor x plan. But damn, you will either have to wait through another dealer for an 06 or hope you can find someone out there to get you an 05 on the plan. I'm of the school of "my word is my bond" so i would walk away from dishonorable people even if it hurt me. Good luck

[] I'll probably have to let go... Everytime I see a Sonic Blue GT in town I will retreat into myself and wonder "is that my car?" Wont be easy, but I have a lot of friends on base that will buy their Ford's elsewhere...I hate to let go though, it is hard after waiting 3-4 months. I'll live though. I still have a nice truck and guess I'll have to wait[X(]

Go to a different dealer.
As for not allowed to accept the X Plan, Bull$hit. It is completely UP TO EACH DEALER as to whether or not they accept it. Don't let them yank your chain. They may make different stipulations as to how they want to accept it. But no one is telling them that they cannot accept it. There are plenty of dealers within a few hours of where you are at ( Wichita, right? ). I am sure you can find a GT somewhere between Dallas and KC.

And another thing...don't let the X Plan be the deal breaker. If you find the car you want, why let $2000 ( give or take a few ) be the thing that keeps you from getting it. You can more than make that up with descent financing somewhere.

When they wrote up your order didnt't they price it with the x-plan prices? They did mine. Wouldn't that be as good as a contract? If you put moneydown toward the xplan price I can't see how they can renig on that. I am still waiting for delivery.

I live in North Texas. I purchased mine right off a lot on X plan ( Don Davis Ford ). I had a GT on order at a different dealer on X Plan ( Prestige ), and another dealer that said they would do it but advised against it because they were out of allocation ( North Central ).

So once again, I call BS.

i am in the military and i bought mine threw aafe's did you try and see what they had to say about it? it is factory direct so i don't know if they will let you use an x-plan but it might be worth a try... would def be cheaper then msrp. but it is not like going to the dealership you can't finance threw aafe's and they don't do trade ins or used cars. hope this helps

My dealer would not let me use X Plan for any GT on their lot. There was only one it was not the color I wanted and Auto. But I was able to use it if I ordered one. I think your dealer is pulling a fast one. I would say look around and tell him to stick it. The dealers are starting to get more coming in every day My dealer in town received 3 in the past 2 weeks.

Premium GT with Anti Theft, Shaker 500, Wheel Locks, 5 speed for $25750.00
