Default adhesion promoter

I went to install my recently delivered CDC pedals and found that the gas pedal merely
sticks to the stock pedal. The instructions recommended using adhesion promoter, but the
kit didn't come with any. Local hardware store doesn't have this. Any thoughts where I am
going to find this stuff? Is it really necessary?

I e-mailed the place where I bought them, without response yet.

Thanks,

I stopped in the local NAPA auto store when I needed some and they had these individually packed 3m cloth strips with the promoter on them. That was the only auto store that had them

I thought most automotive supply stores have them?....just go straight to the 3M site and order from them.

I tried the local HW store, and an auto parts store. Got blank stares, but the auto parts store is pretty
small, as is the HW store. I was hoping to find somewhere I could buy it tomorrow during lunch. I'll
keep trying the auto parts stores, tho'. There's hope.

I've never had to use promoter before, is it just due to the material of the stock pedal that it needs to
be used to get a good bond?

Thx,

yeah go to a paint shop, any store that specializes in painting and painting auto related things will carry it. I just bought a bunch for my dad when we painted my cervinis kit.

All of the above is good info. But I will tell you that when I applied my pedals, I merely cleaned the gas pedal very well with rubbing alcohol. Applied the pedal, and put a thick rubber band around it for about 12 hours or so. The pedals have been on for probably a year and a half, and I have had zero issues.

Its funny you mention that because I did not use it for the pedals either just for everything on the outside of the car!
