This is true, got my X3 from Brenspeed a few weeks ago, exclent work and communication.
The biggest differance between the two tuners is with bama you can tune as many cars as you like (one at a time of cource) and with the X2 or X3 5 is the limit till it locks up then you have to send back to themanufactur to have it unlocked, bama - if it get locked buy a new one, they will not unlock any units.

 

You can load their tunes with the lower end SCT Strategy Flash tuner. It's less expensive than the Xcal2 .
