I got the moleskin and installed it tonight. 20 mins max. Only thing was, I did not have the factory felt like in Taco Bills write up. All I had was just the rubber piece under the felt that was in his write-up. Now I don't have a problem installing it since it only took a few mins and cost me about $5 but was it needed? Do any of you other 06 guys have the factory felt like in the write up?

just installed moleskin on my 06 the other night, there was no felt at all to remove on mine either. that bare plastic might scratch the tint, so imo its worth the 5$ for peace of mind.

his didnt' have any factory felt either. the felt he removed was some industrial "velcro" strips that he had installed earlier but were low quality.....hence the replacement with moleskin. none of the 05 or 06s have any felt, that's why moleskin is needed. my tint was scratched to hell before the moleskin install. it's holding up nicely now.....

i got a 08 and it had felt so i dont need the moleskin i guess

Yep my tinted windows are all f'd up...Looks like I need the moleskin...

I think the 08's are the only ones that come with felt from factory now, anything other than an 08' will need Moleskin.

Yeah my tint got scratched to **** because of Ford's lack of thought on this subject. I already ordered the Moleskin, i'll be installing it when it arrives. After it sets i'm gonna contact the guys that installed my tint and ask if I can wheel a deal on some new tint.

I think O7 and earlier models need the felt.
