Default Big Dilemma (need help)

Ok so here's the deal. I have a 2005 v6 pony and I just cant stand having everything stock. My idea was to get the following mods. PERFORMANCE: CAI, tuner, and 4.10 gears with new T-Lok Differential (already have new dual exhaust) all together would be about $1400. APPEARANCE: black racing stripes and black deep dish bullit rims, all together would be about $1400 also. ok here's where the problem is...i only have about 1400 to spend at this moment and i really want to do something to my car right now. So as you can see, my dilemma is between choosing to make the car look better or making the car perform better. I'll eventually do both but i dont kno which to do first with the money i have. So i was just looking for some opinions from you guys. I know many will probably say performance but I'm pretty big on how the car looks and i hate the stock look and looking like every other mustang that pulls up next to me. Help

Eww stock [&:]

Get the appearance modifications, trust me, I also run a V6 (switching to newGT in 2009), and the appearance isn't cool enough. Then later do performance to fit. after all, you and others see your car more than race your car... just my .02

+1 do the performance route. Ur not trying to run tens at every stoplight. A good looking mustang stands out better on the streets.

Why not get the CAI/Tuner for cheap, then get the stripes. See what money you have left over, and save for wheels/4.10s.

Agreed, this sounds like the best compromise.

+1 - that's what I'd do. You'll love what the CAI & tuner does for you. I'd recommend Brenspeed. You can get both for around $600. Then I'd go to Baltimore Street Mods to get your stripes. Depending on what you get, you'll spend maybe $150-$200. So, after you get those two things, you'll have maybe $600 left. You could either save that, or maybe you want to invest in a trunk blackout panel for as little as $25. A shorty radio antenna is cheap - around $20.

It's fun spending someone else's money...

Use the money you were gonna use on mods and buy a GT.

i think he wants to be different from every other stock mustang.
by getting a GT, he'll just have a plain jane GT.. and he'll be back to square one.
ionno, maybe im misinterpreting what he said, he just hates the stock 6
