Default Upper control arm

Installed the J&M adjustable upper control arm in my 2007 manual GT. All 5 bolts are tight, but now I have a substantial clunk whenever I accelerate or decelerate, and even sometimes when I just hit a small bump in the road. Put it up on a drive-on lift, moved it back and forth, could hear the clunk but could not see anything moving.

Anyone have any idea what is causing this?

Sounds like you have the same problem I'm trying to fix.Talking tomembers on this board, I was made aware of some spacers that Steeda sells for $9. They are placed with the bolt that holds the factory mount to the new UCA. Apparently the bolt is 14mm, and the bolt hole is 16mm. This is where the clunk comes from. The spacers fill in this gap.

Here's a link to the spacers, it's thefourth one down. Unfortunately Steeda charges $11 for shipping so it will cost you $20 total. Good luck!

J&M upper control arms are supposed to come with their reducers.

kind of weird, they have one set that mentions the reducers and another set for the same price that doesn't mention the reducers. heres the same ones that dont mention the reducers.

Thanks to all who contributed ideas on my upper cotrol arm clunk. The J&M did come with anti-clunk spacers, but I did not have the bolts tight enough. A friend of mine got a big wrench and a big pipe and I thought he'd break the things off, but when it was REALLY tight, the clunk went away.

Thanks again.
