Airaid CAI

RE: Airaid CAI
Hi Darkcandy. Well none of the CAI kits will deliver what they advertise. If I added up all the "advertised hp numbers" for my bolt-on's, I should should be pushing close to 400hp. Nuh uh! Its all marketing hype to promote sales.
K&N, BBK, S&B, C&L, and Airaid all work without a tune. A good tune + CAI will deliver an honest 7-15hp. Some may argue with me on that, but that's another topic.
If you can't afford a tuner right now and just want the intake. I would go with the Airaid or C&L. They both give you the option of removing the sleeve insert later on when you get a tune for the car. Without a tune, you'll notice the throttle is a litte more responsive, and your engine will have a little more growl to it, but that's about it.

RE: Airaid CAI
I have the Airaid CAI, and it's great!!!. But I have the MVT removed, coupled with the Brenspeed 93 Octane Tune. You can run it without a tune, but you really won't see too much of an improvement performance wise.
