" I think my previous post was lost due to the forum issues...in case anyone missed it...
well an update to a previous post a couple months back,. I just picked up my 2008 vista blue and white Shelby gt500 today... I WILL POST PICS SOON...Have to take them first...Moderator please dont move this post yet..I just wanted to share with the S197 brethren before it gets buried in the shelby section and no one knows an update on my car status...

all I can say is wow....anyone who knows my car build I had....knows the power it had when I was done.....422rwhp and 416 torque...on my 05 gt350 tribute with the saleen, headers etc...but my new car is freaking more impressive than I was expecting....it is a stock 08 gt500 with only mod being axel back exhaust. sweet momma this car books..its funny the first few miles it was runnign on alternate calibration (basically no supercharger) and I was pretty impressed with the stock block. It handled nice...then after about 7 miles of driving I punched it and sheeyat....the boost kicked in....the torque is amazing...my other car was an auto, and this obviously a 6 speed....nice clean shifts..albeit the dual disc clutch takes a little getting used to...it sux when you are a red light and stall it........but oh well I am learning that this dog likes to hunt....so I am booking down Falkenberg road in Tampa (STUPID by the way as the flakenberg jail and sherrif station is there) before i know it I am doing 95....this car turns tight (allot tighter than my 05 gt) and hugs the turns and road so much better...overall I Truly love this car and if I leave it totally stock (Probably will) I love the power it has and the way it drives..I took a buddy for a drive at work and his exact comment was this car drives awesome for a sports car....the stinger axel backs not even broke in yet..sound mean as heck....no cabin drone....nice roar...am I happier with this compared to my 05: Well I am as happy..as the tribute had allot of sentimental value to me....but heres to joining the gt500 club...more importantly here is to remaining a member of the blue oval ford mustang club....WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! some not so good pics attached

i was up at brandon ford this week(same place i got mine).they got a few nice cars up there,a 07 roush 427 for 34K,i was tempted. i did see that vapor gt500 with the 605 supercharger kit.i asked one of the sales guys about the gt500's and he said they were still getting 20k over sticker. you got a great deal and i even considered going the same route for that price,but wow,no way i can do 20K on top of the 47K. i love the sound of your car too,when you where right beside me it was awesome,that s/c is loud and sounds mean!!
