Default Question regarding CDC Classic Chin Spoiler

I'm thinking this'll be my next appearance mod.

Aside from the obvious reduction in ground clearance are there any other side effects (positive or negative) that should influence my decision.

For example, does the spoiler create more drag (thus reducing quarter mile time).

Any annoying air noise from installing?

Etc. etc.

THANKS!

P.S. I'd search but it's not working

Well it does cause a little more drag but nothing that you will ever see in the 1/4 mile! it it were effected, I would guess around 0.0005 of a second It will help direct a little more air into the radiator so that is a plus. And for your last question... I have never know anyone to hear any excessive noise from it (unless you are talking about the scrapping noise you will hear when it bottoms out.LOL)

I just put mine on 2 weeks ago and love it! no problems at all...looks amazing! 15 min install. got mine already painted from LM performance...also unless your lowered it doesnt affect ground clearace that much, just have to be careful around parking curbs and steep driveways etc! definetly recomend getting it!

Theoretically it probably increases drag and weight, but it's so little that you'd never notice. The S197 has very poor aerodynamics, so much so that a little chin spoiler won't make much difference.

It doesn't really reduce ground clearence all that much. Your bumper is shaped like an upside down "u". The chin spoiler will level out the "u".

To put it another way, the classic chin spoiler simply connects to the two lowest places on the front bumper. If you're not scraping now, then you won't scrape with a CDC classic. It does stick out a bit, but not enough to cause a problem. The rules change for a lowered car, of course.

Great bang for the buck as far as an appearance mod goes. I already chipped paint off of mine but a little touch up and all was good again.
