Default Tire Questions

Hey y'all,

I was thinking about replacing the stock Pirelli P-Zero Neros on my car and had a few questons.

1) At what tread depth do you consider a tire "worn out"?
2) If you have any experiences with the following tires, please respond:
a) Goodyear Eagle F-1
b) Michelin Pilot A/S
Worth the extra money over stock OEMs? Do you like them? What are their quirks?

Thanks guys!

if it looks worn out then its time to start shopping, i bought my tires from discounttiredirect and saved a bundle!!! absolutely awesome deals on there, and had national tire and battery mount/balance them for $125 with lifetime balance for free (so worth the extra money)

I have driven all sorts of tires on Pantera's, Corvette's, Vipers and I chose the F1 Supercars because Tire Rack had a sale. Tires have a similar feel to a Pirelli PZero Rosso or Michelin Pilot Sport. Since I ama tire rack dealer I had to scoop them up. In fact, they are still on sale for dirt cheap if you get some 18" wheels. I have had my car on the track with the 285/40 and 255/45 set up and really amazed some people. The tires have excellent dry traction and turn in response. The grip in moderate temperatures is excellent. I don't know about how great the tire wear will be since I've only driven them for about 2k miles. Check Tire Rack out for the sale price.

I am never disappointed in Tire Rack. If you have hte time to scope out the occasional sale on other sites then do so. However, with some good reviews, consistant prices, and fast shipping (less than 200 miles from dist. center). I always come back. Man this sounds like an infomercial but seriously tire rack is a good stop
