Default Question for any detailing pros...

(This probably isn't the right section, but the detailing forum is slooooowwwww, and I need some answers asap so I can make a decision.)

I very recently (Friday) had the hood of my 06 Pony repainted, and the hood now has a slightly brighter shade of white than the rest of the car (which looks like it has almost a slight tint of yellow to it from being outside or whatever.)

I've neglected the car's paint (I've never polished or waxed it) and so it's taken a bit of a different shade of color over time from the sun and air contaminants and all that fun stuff. It's not horribly-disgustingly-grandma's-teeth-yellow, but there is a noticeable difference between the freshly painted hood and the rest of the car, especially to me. The majority of people probably wouldn't notice at first glance, but it's already driving me nuts, which I'm sure most of you can understand.

So I need a way to make the fresh hood and the not-fresh everything else match, and I thought, rather than getting the hood repainted (again) to have a yellow tint, perhaps I can have the rest of the car polished or something to give it a brighter white.

Does this sound like something a detailer might be able to do? I would need the whole car (except for the hood of course) polished or whatever it would take to brighten it up a few shades. Or would trying to brighten up a two year old car with polish be a waste of time and mod money?

Polish only when you have swirls and light scratches, every time you do it, you are removing a thin layer of clear coat Clay 1-2 times a year, depends on weather in your area. Wax every 2-3 months....

Guys ...the tape is there to keep the wax off any unwanted areas like crevasses ..plastic..rubber etc! anyserious detail job needs to be taped off first especially if your using a buffer! It makes the job alot easier.
