Default REMOVING EMBLEMS

2 questions:

1- does the fake gas cap have any pin holes that will have to be filled if removed or is it simply stuck on?

2- do the tri-bar pony emblems have pin holes like the GT emblems or do they simply stick on?

i'm trying to avoid having to fill alignment or pin holes, or not get stuck having to if i remove emblems.

thanks,
will

ive seen a shelby gt 500 gas cap and it had like a 3m kinda material on the back of it. i dont think the gas caps have pin holes.ive had two 6 clynders one a 96 amd a 99 and they both had pin holes for the fender emblems i replaced my gt emblems with shelby cobra emblems and itcovered the pin holes fine.ive ordered a gt 500 gas cap for my 06. when i get it i can write u back and tell u for sure wether they have pin holes or not

Im not sure about the gas caps, but I think its just tape as the locking mechanism works as your center point/guiding mark. The sides have 2 pins and they will accept the pony, gt and cobra emblems.

I've seen some stangs out there with emblemless fenders...

are those aftermarket? Or can I just go ahead and buy them at the dealership?

yes,the gas cap 100% has 2 holes and the entire back side is all sticky tape,i huge pain in the butt to get it all off-trust me

you can see the pic of the fenders above

there are fenders out there on some of the 6cyl that have no holes at all.

yes,its very dirty

just messing with you dude... make sure the paint is made to go on metals or it will peel off easily...go to Home Depot, Lowe's, etc and ask them for black metal paint that also looks metallic in its finish
