Default Interior Motion Sensor Alarm Not Working?

I have noticed that the alarm isnt being triggered anymore when reaching into the car after being locked via the key fob and waiting 5 min. Its been awile since I checked this an have only had the airbag recall , and driver side footarea panel fixed for leaks.

Anyone else, or if this has already been brought up in another thread, please past the link in a reply.

Thanks

Theres sensors on both sides of the interior light, so not sure on why it would make a difference. But yeah, I have also reached into the driver side enough to touch the passenger seat. If I reach in and open the door it then goes off.

Thanks

Mine has always worked, up untill I checked today. I did validate that jacking up the car still causes the alarm to go off, so its something to due with the sensors up in the interior light.

eddieva5, you should look into this by calling the dealer? But then again, some of them donteven know our cars have a cabin air filter

Thanks

Kinda odd now, after having it go off by jacking up the car, I then re armed and waved my arm in the passenger side within 30 seconds of arming and it went off? Isn't that special.

Now, the driver side is working as well...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

It requires two pushes of the lock button to activate the motion sensors?

On mine, you have to click the key fob twice to activate the motion sensor. First click locks the doors, second click arms the system. You can stick your arm in on the passenger side and the alarm will go off....at least on my car it does.

Are you sure your car doesn't have the dreaded water leak? That could foul up the system.
