ok i need some help i have a 2008 gt 5 speedwith 20 inch rims and a o/r h pipe and frpp axle back. Besides the long tubes and Nitrous,s/c,turbo. What else can i do for power... A buddy of mine running his mouth saying he would murder me... He has a 1993 6speed lt1 camaro z28.. With long tubes and o/r y pipe. u/d pulleys, short throw shifter, k/n filter. What do i need to make sure he wont beat me... Thanks...

Eliminating the big three leaves you walking uphill as far as huge power gains goes. I'm guessing you don't want to open the motor up as well.

So the first thing you need to do it get a CAI system on it with a custom tune. Do some searching on CAI's in this section for all the info you need plus a lot more you don't A good tune and CAI will liberate up to 20hp and improve throttle response.

After that you'll merely be scratching round for the odd hp here and there with stuff like underdrive pullies etc.

Definitely the cai and tune.
I'd do gears as well.
And maybe put on 17" wheels

Yea i got 3.55... but i thought about getting Drags for my stock 18's

Hate to say it but those rims will hurt performance and eat some HP even though they look great! Humboldt said it best (17's or 18's will improve your performance). Get the UDP's and the CAI and tune and one pice DS to offset the weight of the fat rims....... JMO.....maybe some delete plates and 4.10's will get you into the higher RPMS fast and get you into your powerband sooner.

3.73 / 4.10 gears will help. A hurst shifter might help

I think you will beat him with your stock car....go for it. What is the ratio of your diff? Hopefully not lower than 3.55:1...there is a sticker on your diff with the gear ratio?

CAI, chip, throttle body, throttle spacer

those can dramatically increase ur performance if done correctly
