Default Dome light cover

I want to replace the interior dome lamp (above the rearview mirror).
I assume I have to remove the dome light cover. How do I remove the dome light cover in the 06 GT with the motion sensors.
I do not see a gap around the edge of the cover to slide a flat screwdriver or anything like that.
I tried pulling down while pressing on the sides of the cover but it game me the impression that I was about to break something.

Thanks

Just firmly pull down on the housing, it snaps right off.
The bulbs can be removed and replaced from the rear, without removing the lens covers.
But, if you want to switch to led's, you will have to remove the covers to install them, as they are too large to insert from the back.

That's exactly what I'm doing, LED's.
I pulled the assembly off and just like you said, the LDE's are too darn big.
How do I remove the covers then?
It looks like they are glued.

There should be 3 tabs visible from the back, one larger than the rest if memory serves.
Use a small flathead screwdriver to pop it out.

Why would you want to replace the dome lights with LED's; do they have a better light?

I got mine on ebay (sounds like a slogan)
http://stores.ebay.com/MotoringMax

Very cheap IMO at $14 delivered.
Yes, a novice can do it. I like the look. I went with blue because that is how I have the My Color feature in my car.
They are supposed to be cooler (use less energy) andlast longer. I don't think those I just installed are brighter, I was going for the blue look.
