What are some of the differences between the 05 and 06 GT's verses the 07 and 08 models. Forget about wheel and paint options. I realize that at some point they added the abient lighting after 06. I know that 3:55 gears are an extra option. What i'm really getting at is some aftermarket parts specify 07 only. Cervivi's shaker hood kit comes to mind. Seems like i heard something about the throttle body bolts being a little longer because of the plenium cover. Do all of the 07-08's come with the "appearance package" (hood scoop) or what? Just trying to figure out what the changes were. Thanks for helping sort this out.

Yes, the Appearance Package (Hood scoop, exhaust tips, and plenum cover) were/is an option on the '07 and '08's, as is the ambient lighting pkg you mentioned, and don't forget the nav as well. You already mentioned the 3.55 gear option, which you cannot check off by itself, you need another pkg to get it. Thats all I know of besides the different color options. The subtle differences like the tb bolts you mentioned I didn't know of.

 

Don't forget the cooling hoses are different on the 07-08 GT and bolts on the valve covers.

 

Yea they changed the cooling system around a bit. Things like blowers have separate kits for 05-06 and the 07-08

 

best one is being able to fit a 5.4 in the 07/08's

i think the 07s and up have that tire pressure sensor,and the 09s have the glass roof
