Default Traction control problems

I have my '08 Stang with 3000kms on it, ever since i got it about 2 months ago every now and again i cant turn on my traction control and the traction control dash light comes on along with the handbrake dash light. Sometimes i shut it off and it all resets but most of the time the lights stay lit for a few days. The first time it happened was the day i picked up the car i brought it back and they had no clue what was going on and simply said the next time it happens bring it with the dash lights on. Second time it happened i called them and they said bring it in, unfortunately i had to make a few stops on the way so i had to shut her down and thedash lights reset. Today the dash lights finallycame on againto bad its Sunday 8pm and the dealership is closed, I have my fingers crossed they come back onin the morning so i can take her straight to the dealership.

Anyone else have a similar problem?

Traction control is, by default, on. Pressing the button switches it off.

You'll get the skiddycar indicator when the TCS is operating but it should go out when it's 'done it's job'..

yeah by default it should be on...........but mine stays "off" and cant be turned back on, picture of the skiddy car and handbrake light constantly stay illuminated. Very very annoying esepcially when i want to get it fixed and it starts working again on its own.

Default RE: Traction control problems

I have a question about traction control and the '08 GT's. I bought a 2008 Mustang GT. I never see the traction control light under my RPM where all the other lights are usually at. I do, however, see "OFF" on the actual traction control button when I press it. I'm also pretty sure that I don't see the light when I'm turning my car on (When all the lights light up temporarily).

Any suggestions?

i have never seen the light on the dash when i start it either, i have driven others and never seen it as well, so im sure its not a problem when it dosent light up, as it still works, found that out quick. should just the the vertical off light on the auctual button. when i turned off traction control via Diablosport, i had the same problem 08STANG81 does. true, i do not have to press the button every time i start the car, but the constant light in the dash is very annoying, so i just opted to turn it back on and work out the lazyness issue with pressing the butten each time.
