Power Window problem

Power Window problem
I recently had my drivers side door handle replaced by the dealership.
Since then, the timing of the auto drop window on the drivers side seems to be off. If I open the door quickly, the glass doesn't drop fast enough andit catches the weatherstripping. You can feel the interference. The door still opensbut the glass wobbles as it catches.
I experimented with the passenger door, I can open the door as fast as I want and the glass always drops in time to clear the weatherstripping.
Help!!
It's funny, when I first saw how the Mustang windows operate I thought to myself, how long till that screws up. The answer, 3 months and one door handle replacement.
I already tried recalibrating the windows, it makes no difference.

RE: Power Window problem
I can't think of how they'd messed that up?
Anyway, it is indirectly related to the handle latch mechanism, so if it's slow to go down, it could be that the ground wire got disturbed and not enough Amps are going to the window motor.
Is the window travel speed got any slower (up or down)?

There is obviously a delay then...
The grabbing action of the handle starts too soon now.
I know what they did. They misposotioned the handle rod in its plastic catcher (threaded part) and the window trigger is activated too late, thus not clearing the top moulding in time.
That new handle has to feel differently than the other side, right?

RE: Power Window problem
I had problems with my drivers window too. It kept jumping up and down while the door was open. The recalibration procedure never worked but someone told me to lubricate the latch mechinism on the door. So I saturated it with WD40. It actually took a day or so but started working again. Worked ever since. I think they said there's a latch position sensor that controls the window drop. If it gets stuck then the window looses its calibration. Try lubing it before you take it back to the shop. Good luck.

RE: Power Window problem
Do your interior lights come on when you slowly pull the door handle indicating the
door ajar switch is working and properly adjusted?
The "short drop" function is part of the motor logic
and is self contained in the window motor assembly.

RE: Power Window problem
Is recalibrating the windows explained in the manual? Had my car at the dealership for a front end repair and now my driver side window is slow as hell compared to passenger side.

RE: Power Window problem
I can't find the thread I posted about my power windows. When the drivers side would go up it would bounce back down. I tried to reset them several times. The only thing that worked was shorting out the motor of the window. To do this I had to disconnect the battery when the window was moving.
I pushed the window button disconnected the battery while the window was going down. Reconnected the batter after a few minutes and everything worked great. I did have to push the window button up about 4 times before it was recalibrated. Haven't had a problem since. The important part of this was disconnnecting the battery as the window was moving.
