thanks for the advice, man. didn't expect someone on here to have both, and im grateful that you do, and can offer me advice.
i hear what youre saying, though. i know the extra 50 torque the stang has will make a tremendous difference.

another thing is that, i'm asian, and i feel like every other asian that has a decent amount of money has a g35, 350z, or an m3. i don't want to be every other asian. i kind of want the stang to be different, but i don't think that alone can be enough to make me choose the stang over the g35
I've driven both. I own the mustang and I drive my friends G35 A LOT, the G doesn't have the torque the mustang has so it's not as fun. However, my friends triptronic is more fun to drive than my auto. The ride is a little smoother even with his 19's on (stock rims). Don't worry about being Asian...you need to come to one of our meets and check out Cal's ride. One of my favorite new edges. He's asian and has no problem letting people know he drives a mustang haha. Also louie has a supercharged shelby gt that traps low 11's.

well, everyone except for that dude with the 7 foot antenna and dixie horns...

lol, the problem is not that since i'm asian, i don't want to be seen driving a mustang. its quite the opposite, since i'm asian, i don't really want a typical asian car: g35, m3, 350z, etc. live against the stereotype

Seems like Mustangs are doing really bad? Not even sure what that means.
sorry, i worded it really awkwardly.
i mean that alot of people are trying to get rid of them (the demand for them is low), and they are devalueing really fast
Well then I'm buying a GT. I was thinking about getting the new camaro or 370z for my next car, but i might just have to snag a nice deal on a mustang gt for my next car.

You mean your parents are going to buy you a GT. You might want to make sure it's your name on the title before calling it your car btw.

only reason they are dropping in price is because of gas prices.. if we see a reversal back down to $3.00 a gallon you'll see people buying them again. (The only way gas will get that cheap is if the oil producing countries start maxxing out their production capabilities and flooding the market with oil)

anyway.. yeah.. get a very low mileage used mustang from some sucker who just can't handle the extra $12 it takes to fill up now (since it hasn't gone up quite a full dollar here).

the new g8's are nice, but no manual yet and they weigh a LOT...just like the camero, they have the potential to be really nice but the weight to try to attract women and girly guys with all the fancy stuff (dont get me wrong that stuff is nice, but is it worth the performance)?

At 16, you would be lucky to be able to afford a Honda Civic without the help of mommy and daddy. Or put in a bunch of overtime at the local supermarket/Wendy's.
