How does a wide open throttle switch work?

How does a wide open throttle switch work?
I'm considering a NOS system (02121NOS) for my Mustang.

I have a question about how this system works.
The NOS kit comes with a wide open throttle (WOT)/window switch. It's my understanding that the WOT/window switch allows the nitrous to only engage at WOT and between 3,000 to 6,000 RPM in order to protect the engine.
However, I'm a little confused how someone would go about activating the system. I realize that the bottle needs to be opened first, which means either a trip to the trunk or using a remote opener.
Is it now safe to arm the system, assuming you have a WOT/window switch? Can the system be armed when you're idling, provided that the bottle has been opened first?
Will the system operate automatically once armed? That is, it will continue to consume nitrous until the arm switch is turned off?

A wot switch is different than a window switch.
WOT switch for the 05+ mustang is a little different than the older ones. It works of the drive by wire system. It reads the voltage it takes to read wot and places it at that point. Its usually about 3/4 pedal for most.
A window switch works off the tach. It counts the number of times you pass a certain rpm and assumes you are in that gear. Say you set it to come on in 2nd gear at 3000rpm. Once you pass 3000rpm twice it will asume your in second gear and kick on.
Is it now safe to arm the system, assuming you have a WOT/window switch?YES Can the system be armed when you're idling, provided that the bottle has been opened first? You really don't have a choice unless you have a bottle opener or midget in the trunk
Will the system operate automatically once armed?Once past wot it will"spray"That is, it will continue to consume nitrous until the arm switch is turned off? NO it will turn off itself once below wot. If you let off the gas it will shut off.
