Default Need help deciding on louvers

I need help deciding on which louvers to buy. Here's what I've concluded so far.

- I want the stepped louvers, I don't like the ones that look like ducts
- SHR are the nicest, but I don't want to deal with installing them myself, and I'm not terribly trusting when
letting someone else do it, so unless someone can recommend a reasonably priced local installed (NH/MA)
I think those are out.
- I found a set on fleabay, and a set at hubcaps plus, for $180 painted. Seems cheap? Are they cheap?
- I want something that sits as flush as possible to the window, not crazy about the Roush ones only
because they look too bolted on.

Am I missing an obvious recommendation within those desires? I would just go for the hubcaps plus
ones, it just that $180 painted seems very inexpensive, so I'm wondering if those are just cheap ones...

How dirty does the window underneath get, now that you can't really get under there to clean it? Are
there any that meet my desires that are removeable?

Thx!

I have the ones from hubcapsplus (wheelskin). I love how they look and the install is easy (if not a bit nerve wracking if you don't have steady hands). The color match was PERFECT.

I don't think they're flimsy. As far as the glass is concerned, I can get in far enough with a rag when I wash the car so any dirt that you'd NOTICE from inside can be cleaned. But since the louvers are only partially "see-thru-able", you don't notice the dirt (much) anyway.

Rick,

Thanks, I think it was your pics or one of your posts that turned me on to those. And since we have the same
color, good to know that the paint match is there.

Do they stick to the body, or to the glass itself?

Thx!

To the glass. You need to follow the instruction to the letter. Temperature, glass prep (90% or better alcohol or a good solvent from an auto parts store, cure time... Once you do a "dry run" by lining them up without exposing the tape, you'll see it's simply a matter of having them lined up and ploppping them onto the glass. But you only get one shot or else you have to replace the tape (which is another story!). It's not that bad. once you align the top front edge and the rear, it just falls in place.

On the Roush, there are brackets that stick to the window with 3M tape and then the louvers screw onto the brackets, if I recall correctly.

Yeah, the removeability of the Roushs are nice, I just don't like the look.

And I don't want to replace the glass, hence no SHR.

The hubcaps plus have the look I want, plus a very reasonable "as painted" price, so they
seem like the way to go as long as the quality of the part itself is good. Sounds like it is...
