pinging with tunes
hey guys got a tune from brenspeed and i am getting pinging on 91 and 93 octane tunes.
Did any of u guys have the same problem,if so did u have to go to sct website for new tunes or did brent send u a new tune some other way.
The site is kinda of confusing on what to do so if u guys could help i would appreciate it.

They will send you a new tune. Are you pinging with the 91 tune and a full tank of 93 octane? If so, I would definitely take the CAI off (if you have one).. and revert back to stock. Burn through that tank of gas and add 93 octane from a good gas station. And for the love of god.. don't use "octane booster"...

yes i have c&l cai intake,but brenspeed didnt email me another tune he sent me an email to go to sct website and do revision or something like that thats why i am confused because i havent heard of anyone else having to go to sct website,I dont know if he is trying to have
me download sct tune or something but i dont want the sct tune.If i wanted to get a sct tune i wouldnt orderd from brenspeed.so just trying to figure this out because i getting frustrated,i should have just went with bama like i intended to at first.oh I have been running 93 octane since i first got my car and i have had it for two years and I get gas at shell.any help would be appreciated.

If you are running good 93 octane a 91 octane tune should not ping. They should send you a different tune.

I would just give them a call in the morning and ask questions and have them send a new tune if needed. Their customer service is top notch and they will take care of you.

He is telling you to go to the SCT website so that you can download the program that lets you take tunes from your computer and transfer them to your tuner. He is probably writing you a new tune now. Just go to the SCT website and download what he told you to so that you can actually put the tune on your tuner when you get the new tune via email from brenspeed.
